Got the 3rd gear. You can use it after putting the gears in place, but it doesn't match the boots. It's the soles of the boot's I think, but did not get it working yet. Use the hint above the door and the color code from the soles of the boots. Got key, and out! Yes it is the soles but use the hint over the door as well. But I still could not figure out which cover to open to get the third gear.
