To receive a marriage license in Akron, Ohio, you should both be at least 18 years of age and single. You must apply in person and you can be no more closely related than second cousins. If either of you has been divorced, you will need to submit a certified copy of your divorce decree to the Summit County Probate Court at the time that you apply for a marriage license.
